White t-shirts for Bulgarian rally
Tuesday 19th of December 2006 11:30:00 AM

A peaceful protest organised by a Bulgarian youth group saw people take to the street in
white t-shirts yesterday.
The 150-strong crowd wore
white tees in support of the Bulgarian nurses who are charged in Libya with intentionally infecting patients with HIV, reports the Focus news agency.
The rally was organised by the youth faction of Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB) and involved students, medical staff and Bulgarian citizens.
Marchers wore
white t-shirts printed with the logo Freedom for the Bulgarian Medics and strolled peacefully through the streets of Blagoevgrad in support of the nurses.
Another rally is expected to take place today.
"The march will take place in white colours since this is a symbol of purity", CEDB told Focus.
And tomorrow, Together Against the Death Penalty and Lawyers Without Borders are set to stage a press conference in Paris to pass comment on the death sentences which have been issued, reports the Sofia Echo.
