Harry Potter villain t-shirts in early bird offer

Monday 11th of December 2006 11:40:00 AM

Harry Potter villain t-shirts in early bird offerThe big screen adaptation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix may not be due to hit cinemas until June next year, but enthusiasts can order commemorative t-shirts as early as today.

Specialist in rock and punk t-shirts and sweatshirts Hot Topic have produced a line of tee shirts depicting the young wizard's nemesis Voldemort, poised to cast a spell.

The t-shirts feature the same artwork as was recently revealed on a teaser poster for next year's movie, with Ralph Fiennes' scary character on the front and the ominous inscription "You will lose everything" printed on the back.

To guarantee delivery, Hot Topic has given Potter-potty fans the chance to pre-order the t-shirts, up until December 13th. A full range of wizard-wear is promised in time for next year's summer launch.

The Order of the Phoenix is the fifth in the series of Harry Potter books from author JK Rowling, who is currently writing the seventh and final volume of the bestselling series.

Daniel Radcliffe, the 17-year-old actor who plays the Hogwarts hero, was recently named as the youngest person to make it into the Sunday Times' rich list, with a personal fortune of £14 million.

That kind of money could buy a lot of T-shirts.
