Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell's unofficial uniform of tight black
t-shirt and jeans combo has been put up for the vote for the worst signature style.
As part of the AOL Money & Finance Best & Worst 2006 awards, fans can vote for Cowell's
t-shirt, or instead choose from other celebrities having their dress-sense assessed, including Apple chief executive office Steve Jobs, who matches his jeans with a
sweatshirt.
It is widely reported that Cowell is such a fan of his simple tight
t-shirt that he owns 30 of them.
Melly Alazraki, writing for AOL's Blogging Stocks site, backed The X-Factor judge's
t-shirt taste for being a style that's easy for anyone to adopt, with its stark simplicity showing that he means to be taken seriously.
"When I see Simon Cowell in his ultimate uniform, his signature mark, I can definitely appreciate it. I think most of us do."
She added that she never liked the business clothes she was forced into when employed in the finance world and cited the ability to wear jeans and a
t-shirt as one of the advantages of her jump into technology as a vocation.
