Multinational
t-shirts and
sweatshirts manufacturer House of Pearl Fashions has acquired a new warehouse storage facility in Britain.
The new site, located in Milton Keynes, has a capacity of almost 4,300 sq ft, while the value of the acquisition is estimated at over £2.4 million.
House of Pearl subsidiary Poeticgem made the purchase, increasing its logistics warehousing space to more than 90,000 sq ft.
Offering machinery for pre-retail finishing and reprocessing of apparel, the new warehouse will cater to major UK retailing customers.
Deepak Seth, group chairman of House of Pearl, said the purchase is part of the group's integration strategy.
"We believe that supply chain is a critical part of a retailer's businesses today and House of Pearl is implementing and expanding its capacity and infrastructure to meet the customer's increasing supply chain demand."
Mr Seth added that due to the increase in popularity of just in time stocking methods, "the demand for storage and order fulfillment has grown".
House of Pearl operates
t-shirt, sweatshirt and polo shirt manufacturing facilities in India, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
