Students wear school spirit t-shirts

Students at South Hills High School, Texas are wearing
t-shirts emblazoned with the school's mascot, according to a report.
Proceeds from sales of the
t-shirts will be used to refurbish part of the school, the Star-Telegram reports.
The
tees form part of South Hills' uniform and are the only school regulation
t-shirts that can be worn.
In fact, the newspaper claims that an increasing number of schools in the Fort Worth area are selling
tee-shirts as part of their uniform.
They feature different designs that promote the school, such as mascots, clubs, bands and fine art programmes.
"I think it looks snazzy and it gives them a little bit of variety," Randall Scott, principal of the Applied Learning Academy (ALA), told the Star-Telegram.
Many of Mr Scott's pupils wear
white polo shirts with the school's tiger mascot, or
navy sweatshirts bearing the logo of ALA.
Meanwhile, at Daggett Montessori School, students wear their
school t-shirts on Fridays.
And pupils at Coleman High School, also in Texas, have been issued with
sweatshirts designed by a former art teacher at the school, the Midland Reporter-Telegram claims.
