T-shirts in December?

An unseasonably warm autumn has meant that Brits are starting the winter in
t-shirts, according to a newspaper report.
As December gets underway, the Daily Mail claims many people in the UK are still wearing their
summer t-shirts.
The average temperature in November was 8.1 degrees C in London - around a degree milder than would be normal for the time of year - and forecasters indicate the mild weather is likely to continue until Christmas, predicting the warmest year on record.
Shila Bhoti, 36, a finance worker from Tooting, told the newspaper she is yet to wear her winter clothes.
"Wearing a
t-shirt at this time of year is not normal behaviour and I'm surprised I can get away with it, but the weather is really freaky at the moment. It must be down to global warming."
Meanwhile, Jonathan Sherwin, 41, a homewares buyer from Marylebone, told the Daily Mail he would normally be wearing a
sweatshirt at this time of year. "But so far today I've had no need to put it on," he said.
And according to the Times, fruit pickers were still picking outdoor raspberries in Northumberland last week.
