US-based
t-shirt manufacturer Hanesbrands has announced plans to offer $500 million (£252 million) of senior unsecured notes.
The notes will be sold to US and international institutional investors and are subject to market conditions, while proceeds from the offering will be used to repay a portion of Hanesbrands' borrowings.
The group manufactures
t-shirts,
polo shirts,
sweatshirts and underwear under consumer brands such as Hanes, Champion and Playtex.
In a separate statement, the firm said it intends to join forces with Olympic skiing champion Jonny Moseley under its brand Duofold to help prepare skiers for the winter season.
Launching its Master of the Mountain campaign, Duofold will visit popular ski destinations promoting its base layers and
sweatshirts.
"As winter approaches, it is never too early to start thinking about all of the elements that can help make ski season the best that it can be," said Jeanne Wilkinson, director of marketing at Duofold.
"Duofold is thrilled to partner with Olympic champion and skiing icon Jonny Moseley as he shares his unique insights and expertise with ski enthusiasts across the country," she added.
