T-shirt printing business owner Stan Hughes, 71, is planning to continue working following the failure of plans to give his business away, it has emerged.
Mr Hughes was planning to give Newtown-based SJH Engraving, which specialises in screen printing of
t-shirts,
sweatshirts and
polo-shirts, to someone who is "unemployed through no fault of their own", reports the Birmingham Mail.
However, the idea was not successful, Mr Hughes told the newspaper, indicating he saw "dozens of people, but for one reason or another it just didn't work out".
"I am quite happy to carry on. I have no intention of ever retiring," he added.
The
t-shirt printer noted that the business is profitable and has a turnover of around £3,000 per month.
Last month,
t-shirt printers in the UK were urged to support a midlands charity run, reports the Coventry Telegraph.
In support of local schools, Kelly Newman, who took on the Coventry Lady Godiva Half Marathon, urged printers to do whatever they could to support runners by printing
t-shirts for the race.
