T-shirts and underwear manufacturer Jockey International has donated 25,000 tees and other products in support of Comic Relief 2006.
The merchandise is valued at $2 million (£1.06 million) and will be used to support a concert aiming to help hurricane Katrina victims.
Jockey, a 130-year-old firm, is set to be the official sponsor of the event, pledging
t-shirts to individuals who give over $30 to Comic Relief.
"We pride ourselves on our strong values and commitment to helping families in need," said Tim Pitt, vice president of marketing and advertising.
"The relationship we have developed with Comic Relief is a fun way to reward those who also understand the deep meaning of helping others by giving away one of our most classic garments," he added.
Aiming to combine Comic Relief's desire to unite the comedy community in support of social injustice and Jockey's experience in fashion manufacturing, the partnership will focus on work in New Orleans.
A UK-based charity, Comic Relief aims to offer support by actively involving the public in events and projects.
