A number of celebrities and bands, including British stadium rockers Coldplay, have given
t-shirts to a charity eBay auction.
The stars are set to support Cancer Active with their donations, which launched Cancer Prevention Fortnight on November 13th, with the aim of increasing people's understanding of how they can protect themselves against cancer.
Contributions have been made through the Auctioning4u-eBay Drop Off Shop and Online Auction Service Provider, while the auction will run for ten days.
Auctioning4u's charity sales director Isabella Pawlowski said: "A lot of the time celebrity auctions only reach a small number of people.
"By using the power of eBay, we can appeal to a worldwide audience of 203 million and raise some much needed money and awareness for Cancer Active."
The Coldplay musicians have given a signed
t-shirt worn by Chris Martin on the Rush of Blood tour.
Meanwhile, former Olympic champion and chairman of the 2012 Olympics Seb Coe has donated the
t-shirt he wore for the Sports Relief mile run, completed with prime minister Tony Blair earlier this year.
And former England rugby captain Will Carling will offer a signed England shirt.
Cancer Active was founded in 2004 and aims to provide evidence-based information on possible holistic approaches to the treatment of cancer.
