A two-day sports camp in Coventry is set to teach youngsters new skills over the half-term break, encouraging participation by giving out t-shirts, it has emerged.
Young rugby fans can take part in teaching sessions at the Rugby Lions rugby union club at Webb Ellis Road, where coaches will be available for teaching, reports the Coventry Telegraph.
Each child will be given a t-shirt and a medal and the event is open to beginners as well as those with previous rugby experience.
Meanwhile, the Newcastle Falcons rugby union club is set to play its matches this season in Cancer Research UK's pink t-shirts.
The team's new kit aims to support the charity, using the pink t-shirts to draw attention the cause and challenge stereotypes.
John Fletcher, Falcons director of rugby, said: "Playing such a macho game in a pink shirt might shock some people, but it's for a great cause and the lads are all happy to play their part."
