An instalment of an Oprah Winfrey chat show has inspired a charity to launch a new t-shirt to help people get in touch with their "inner deservedness".
Hey U.G.L.Y., a charity devoted to improving teenagers' self-esteem, has created a t-shirt themed around the phrase "I Deserve..." following a televised conversation between Oprah and guest Naomi Judd.
The chat show host spoke of struggling with being overweight and said that the moment people realise they "deserve ... all the happiness and abundance," things will improve.
This prompted the charity to combine with CB Teen Magazine to ask people across the US to complete the sentence "I deserve..."
Responses from the public, including "happiness", "love" and "more than I can possibly imagine" have made it onto the t-shirt.
The proceeds from t-shirt sales will go towards Hey U.G.L.Y.'s aim to eradicate the "veritable endemic" of low self-esteem in teens.
