School children to receive free sweatshirts

Children at Hunslet Moor Primary School in Leeds are set to receive free sweatshirts from the school.
The gift comes as a gesture of appreciation to parents, as this September the school introduced a uniform for the first time.
Students at Hunslet Moor Primary welcomed the move, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, saying the uniform makes them feel "equal" and "proud".
The new school-wear includes white shirts and blue sweatshirts, which the children said make them feel part of a community.
Year 6 pupil Sheridan White, 10, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "It's good because everyone's the same, so no one gets picked on.
"Some of the kids used to get laughed at by other ones because they haven't got much money and didn't have nice clothes."
Staff, parents and children, who have set aside a budget of £500, are struggling to find 500 sweatshirts and are appealing for suppliers to come forward.
