The business model of Canadian t-shirt and sweatshirt manufacturer Gildan Activewear has been praised by one industry expert.
Gildan is "the perfect example" of good management, Alex Sasso, a fund manager for Norrep Funds, told California's Morning Star.
Mr Sasso pointed to cost-saving practices, such as Gildan's low-cost operations in Central America, as bringing benefits to the firm.
"It's a perfect example of a great management that is always ahead of the competition," he told the newspaper, indicating that products also demonstrate superior quality when compared to competitors' goods.
"Its cost advantage has been so great that it's been able to differentiate itself," he added.
Gildan is a Quebec-based manufacturer of activewear, which serves markets in Canada, the US and Europe.
The group's share price has increased from around CAD$20 (£9.40) in 2004 to now trade at around CAD$55 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
