Sporting golfing t-shirts, a number of sports personalities and celebrities took to the Killerig Golf Course, Ireland, recently for a charity event.
In aid of the Marie Keating Foundation, the celebrities versus sports heroes tournament attracted some of Ireland's leading talent including Jason Byrne, Ken Doherty, Ruby Walsh and Barry Murphy, reports the Nationalist.
Stars from the television series Fair City also took part, along with a number of local people, to raise over €3,000 (£2,000) for the foundation.
Separately, a teacher in the north-west is donning a t-shirt and trainers to raise money for another cancer charity.
Cancer Research UK is to benefit from Lin Jones' ten km run at Tatton Park, Cheshire, this weekend.
Ms Lin of Arden College, Merseyside, is supporting the charity in a bid to thank shops that have provided work experience placements for students, the Southport Visiter reports.
