Sweatshirts Were the Reward!

Wednesday 02nd of February 2011 05:44:52 AM

Sweatshirts Were the Reward! At All Saints Primary School in Bradford, UK the boys and girls compete to be named head boy or head girl. This is considered to be quite an honor and requires making it through a difficult application process. But this is a test that the children are happy to attempt because they are rewarded with a position that is the equivalent of school ambassador.

The application process requires having a knowledge of the school and being able to take other people on a tour of the school ground buildings. For the application, the children gave the school governor, Harry Atkinson, a tour of the school. The winners of the application process were 11 year old Avais Ali and 10 year old Sumaira Khan. Not only did they have to give a tour, but the children had to prove they can explain about children with disabilities in a professional and sensitive manner.

Jo Byndloss is the Deputy head teacher of the school. Byndloss was quoted as saying, “They are really reliable, hard-working children and they are good role models.” The children who compete but are not named head boy or head girl are then made prefects.

To identify the children as the head boy and head girl, they are given sweatshirts that are a special color and printed with the school logo. The prefects also wear sweatshirts but they are all the same dark color while the application winners wear lighter colored ones. This makes the school ambassadors stand out among all the other children.

Promotional clothing has so many uses as All Saints Primary School has shown. If you want people to stand out then give them logo clothing in a color of your choosing. It works for schools and businesses. Sweatshirts are inexpensive, practical and comfortable!
