Generation Y Wears Polo Shirts or Not!

Each generation has a style and for the men of Generation Y it’s the “male urbanites.” A male urbanite is a young man who is quite fashion savvy, willing to experiment with clothes and accessories and doesn’t mind trying new fashion trends. He’s usually under age 21 or close enough to 21 to be still be considered a Generation Y member. He will wear everything from high priced suits to black t-shirts. It just depends on his mood and what’s happening that day.

Of course, the fashion designers trying to keep up with the desires of these male urbanites wonder what their clothing choices actually depend on. If they could figure that out life, the information would be worth millions! It would be so much easier for clothing retailers because they wouldn’t have to guess what to buy and would know what to stock in the stores. Generation Y members will wear any color, any style, edgy designs and off the wall clothing. Anything goes! Ripped jean and used military jackets like bullet proof vests have been seen on the bodies of male urbanites.

So what else will these fashion aficionados wear? The young male under 21 years old might wear plain collared polo shirts that fit well or overly baggy t-shirts that could hold two male urbanites. He might wear a famous name brand of polo shirts or statement shirts that don’t have a brand name attached. He might well be found in a hoodies, a sweatshirt, a sweater or a shredded t-shirt. If you have developed the impression a young male urbanite will wear almost anything, then you would be on the right track!

The willingness of the Generation Y to wear a variety of clothing is actually quite refreshing. This healthy attitude towards fashion means he can wear what he wants and create his own look. Clothes of all kind provide a great way to show off personal creativity.
