Dress Like a Royal in a Hoodie

Friday 23rd of July 2010 07:52:21 PM

Dress Like a Royal in a HoodiePrincess Anne’s pretty daughter is intelligent and busy. She is not only an ambassador for Musto and engaged to be married; she is also introducing a new line of equestrian clothing. Musto is a well-known sports clothing brand that was started by Ketih Musto. Keith Musto was a British Olympic sailor. Zara Phillips introduced her new line with a series of pictures of her on and off the horse wearing the new clothing.

Look closely at the pictures and you’ll discover that many of the clothes are sweats or close enough to be called sweats. The riding jacket for example is styled like a hoodie. It’s hard to beat the comfort of sweats when it’s chilly outside, just like t-shirts are ideal for warm summer days of riding.

Princess Phillips has been working on the equestrian clothing line for 2 years with Musto. She was quoted as saying to Mail Online, “I tried and tested everything. With design, the products were already there – I just tweaked a few things, like put in a longer cut for the riding jackets, so it won’t expose the back if you’re riding in the elements.” Naturally, her clothing is priced beyond many average household budgets, but you can certainly enjoy the comfort of quality and well constructed clothing at much less expense with some savvy shopping online. Sweatshirts and t-shirts are always affordable!

This may seem like a suggestion that violates the rules of equestrian dress, but good clothing doesn’t have to be expensive for the person who just enjoys riding for the sake of riding.

Phillips is an accomplished rider and hopes to represent Great Britain in the next summer Olympics which are conveniently being held in London. As the Queen’s granddaughter, that would be an exciting turn of events for Great Britain!
