T-Shirts and Shorts for Your European Vacation

Have you yearned to travel Europe but can’t afford to stay in expensive hotels or pay a lot of transportation fees? You have an option if you're young or young at heart and want to see Europe badly enough. You can wear some shorts and one of your favorite t-shirts and use your two feet to tour Europe…well at least some of Europe.

If you want an interesting and up close visit to Europe then you should consider taking a 180 mile walk from Vienna to Budapest. If you can’t walk that far or don’t have enough time to cover so many miles, it’s possible to just simply decide how far you can walk and pick a stretch with sites and views that most interest to you.

Of course, the truly adventurous head out with very few pounds or euros and rely on the kindness of strangers for room and board. That’s a bit risky but it’s certainly an adventure. Others who have tried to see Europe on foot are always amazed at the generosity of strangers in the rural towns. They will press fresh foods on hikers and offer bed in barns and spare rooms. You can carry some spare clothing like sweatshirts and rain gear for inclement or cooler weather and just take your chances.

In Europe, there are lots of biking trails that make excellent walking paths. There are castles, rivers, mountain views and parks. But most of all there are Europeans who are always friendly and generous in spirit and willing to share their bounty with strangers. It is the people that make this adventure possible.

If you are brave of heart and really want to see Europe at the grassroots level, then a walking trip is a great idea. You will meet great people and see sights you will never forget. This is a trip where memories are made.
