Fur Hoodies…What Is Next in Sweatshirts?

Just when you think fashion designers have already used every odd idea in the book…more appear. This fall, you can expect to see fur making a comeback but in an unusual way. Fur hoodies are going to be presented by designers looking for something in fashion that is not boring but remains sporty. At recent fashion shows in London, Paris, New York and other places, the runways were full of models wearing things like long-haired fleece coats and dresses with leather and fur trim. Of course, not everyone can wear bulky clothes so you need to be careful about buying clothes with too much fur. Fur was showing up as trim on coat sleeves and hems and in skirt panels.

Of course, not everyone believes that fur hoodies are odd clothing and look forward to wearing fur trimmed hoodies or sweatshirts. This fall will also see some more practical clothing too. For example, Giambattista Valli plan on showing clothing professional women can wear to the office.

Other style additions include longer skirts and slits in skirts and dresses. There were large lapels, bold prints, and even pants with wide bottoms. Many of the clothes were what could be called minimalist. Giant shoes are out too with a return to flat boots and shoes. For women tired of trying to balance on heavy shoes, the return to flats is welcomed news.

Also included in the fashion lines were printed t-shirts. But these tees are made of luxury materials and prints are intended to be artistic. It’s nice to know though that you can order inexpensive printed shirts and be in right in style!

This year’s fashion continues to be a bit somber compared to several years ago which is a reflection of the difficult economic times. But designers are slowly beginning to add some edginess back into clothing lines…and that explains the fur hoodies.
