Best Dressed in T-Shirts

Monday 04th of January 2010 12:55:47 AM

Best Dressed in T-ShirtsIt is amazing how t-shirts now take their place in the highest levels of fashion. The t-shirt is right up there with the most fashionable clothing in the world. Men and women incorporate the t-shirt into a multitude of outfits and personal style choices making it fun to own all different types of tees from simple white t-shirts to the elaborately printed t-shirts.

It was no surprise then when GQ magazine published its annual Best Dressed List of 2010 and there were t-shirts to be found on sexy models, actors, and singers. The list comes out very early in the year but it establishes fashion trends and sets the tone for the year. What is really fascinating about this list is that it is not composed of just expensively dressed men copying designer style show fashions. It’s a wonderful list that depicts fashion from business suits on executives to skinny jeans on hip-hoppers.

But the real point of the GQ list is to prove that being stylish doesn’t mean copying anyone. If you don’t like shredded tees then don’t wear them! Men can develop a personal style all their own. That might mean pairing cheap t-shirts with a white suit or a simple black tee with black skinny jeans. It could mean dressing to the hilt in expensive coordinated pants and shirts or dressing in flannel shirts and leather jackets.

The point is that the men on the GQ list do not fit a pattern or preconceived notions about how a fashionable guy dresses. Being able to develop your own tastes and style exactly how you go about making fashion fun. You can get your ideas from magazines, television and fashion shows, but after that it’s up to you to develop a unique look that fits you and only you.
