T-shirts are now undeniably an important members of the fashion world. Everyone from wealth designers to online bargain stores selling cheap t-shirts incorporate tees, sweats, and polo-shirts in their lines off clothing. Of course, the shirts seen on the runways of shows held during British Fashion Week are very different from the shirts sold to wear to school or work. The runway shirts are just as likely to be made out of metal or leather as they are to be made out of cotton.Every Sunday the New York Times newspaper includes a travel section. The past Sunday (15-November-2009) the NYT dedicated the section to the glories of wintering in the Caribbean. T-shirts shine their brightest when worn in the warm Caribbean sun. You would almost think that tees and polo shirts were designed just to accommodate island living though millions of workers needing practical clothing know better.
Travel to Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands or the Bahamas and you will see t-shirts everywhere. There are bar scene pictures of men and women wearing polo-shirts; surfers preventing sunburn by wearing t-shirts; children playing on the beach in tees; and t-shirt wearing people lounging on hotel room balconies or in lodging common areas. Clearly t-shirts play an important role when it comes to sun and fun.
If you are thinking of going to the Caribbean this winter, there’s really no need to pack a lot of fancy clothes. Those designer t-shirts are best left behind to wear to a London or New York theater presentation. Instead you need to pack plenty of your polo-shirts and t-shirts. The sun is ready for you!
