Peacocks started in 1884 and is now an icon store chain in the UK and internationally. This particular retailer has created a niche in the fashion market by selling value-priced trendy fashions. The company is now joining forces with Pearl Lowe to produce a line of Christmas dresses to wear at parties or other holiday events. You can buy your cheap t-shirts online at other retailers to wear around the house, but when it’s time to dress up for a party Peacocks wants to help.

Peacocks has won a number of awards including Best Value Retailer of the Year 2005. The store chain has made a name for itself by offering fashion trends quickly. You don’t have to wait weeks for new lines to arrive because between 30 to 50 new lines show up in stores every week.

The new Lowe dresses are being modeled by Lowe’s daughter Daisy. Daisy Lowe adores her mother’s styles and said, “Ever since I was a little girl I’ve dressed up in my mum’s clothes. She’s my style icon and her new designs capture her spirit and style. It’s great that everyone will have the chance to plunder mum’s wardrobe this Christmas.”

Peacock is excited about this joint venture with Lowe and her daughter. Lowe is making this year’s Christmas dresses with vintage styling including very feminine lace and plenty of intricate details. What is good news for budget conscious shoppers is the fact everything offered in this line will be under £40.

Jane Hotz, the Peacocks’ Womenswear Buying Director, said this about the Christmas dress line: “We’re thrilled to be able to translate Pearl’s vintage designs for our customers. Pearl is a style icon and it’s been an inspiration turning her designs into a reality.” So when you’re tired of hanging around the house in your sweats it just might be time to go shopping for a party dress.
