Many of the winter fashions may evoke some memories for some shoppers and with good reason. Some clothing and fashion accessories incorporate items that first hit the scene during the rock and roll era of the 1950s and 1960s. Many of the pieces suggest the era of rebels but with style. Chic clothing includes leather boots and multi-strand bracelets. Also found, of course, are a number of sweatshirts and t-shirts with symbols once used by rebellious youth to send an anti-establishment message. The shirts and sweats include graphics like skulls and crossbones or lettering that looks like graffiti.
For those who want to be even more daring there are motorcycle jackets laden with metal studs. Or you can wear tight leggings with a long tailed shirt. The edgy designs use dark colors mixed with lighter dashes of offsetting colors. There are plaids and spiky jewelry and leather and chains. Ankle boots mixed with the leggings and a printed t-shirt makes a great winter look.
Of course, not everyone would be comfortable wearing this style of clothing. But the great news is you can choose a single piece and match it with more sedate styles. For example, a punk rock t-shirt looks great with dark jeans. The Vice President of Kohl’s department store is David Hacker. He said this about the jeans: “The bulk is dark denim, but lighter washes are incoming. There’s black and gray – a key fashion color – and we also have denim in the purple berry range.”
So if you want to have some fashion fun this winter, then get ready to look really cool in chic rock and roll styled clothing with a modern edge.
