Reading the T-Shirt Tags

Friday 05th of June 2009 09:24:03 PM

Reading the T-Shirt TagsHave you ever wondered who makes those tags with the barcodes you see hanging on cheap t-shirts, swim suits, or evening gowns? Some of those tags with barcodes attached to clothes are supplied by a company that invests a lot of money in product development. In difficult economic times it is critical for companies to take advantage of technology and that is exactly what a company named Brand ID did in order to flourish. Technology provides an opportunity to remain cost effective without impacting service levels.

Brand ID is an apparel label and tag business that has seen continued growth despite the recession. It has managed this impressive feat by instituting cost effective measures that also made the company more competitive. This is the only clothing barcode supplier that can offer customers complete online access and account management. The company has production plants in California, Hong Kong, and Costa Mesa which means customers can stay on top of their accounts no matter where their order is being processed. This can make those little tags hanging on Sweats, dresses, suits, and all other fashion items take on new meaning. Currently Brand ID serves all sized customers and includes some of the biggest names in fashion. They include companies like Calvin Klein, Speedo, and Guess to name just a few.

A company spokesman for Brand ID said, "Some people are still faxing purchase orders on e-mail spreadsheets. We have the ability to have their information sent directly out of their systems and into ours so it happens seamlessly and automatically."

The system not only makes it easier for customers to track orders but it also cuts production costs making tags and trim more affordable. As Brand ID explains, "Some brands we were dealing with were doing a lot of in-house ticketing for retailers, maintaining personnel and paying for printers," said Craven. We've eliminated a whole department for them. They can outsource it to us without changing much of how they would do their business."
