World Fair Trade Day Gets Charity Priced T-ShirtsThe World Fair Trade Day is held annually to promote the ethical production of clothing. It is a large fair that is considered to be one of the most inspirational in terms of convincing people that ehtical garment production is a key issue. This is an issue growing in importance all the time and charity organizations are in the lead as promoters of of fair trade practices.

The World Fair Trade Day has been very influential in getting the word out and at the last show held on May 9th inspired the Shirtworks company to expand its offering of ethical clothing at cost. The World Fair Trade is a charity organization with the goal of promoting ethical growing and production standards for garment manufacturing.

Shirtworks has agreed to sell all ethically produced t-shirts and other clothing at cost and the customer only pays for printing or embroidery. Shirtowrk customers are primarily UK charities.

The Managing Director of Shirtworks is Arron Harnden and he said this: "The charity offer has been a huge success and it feels really good for us too as ethical trade is such an important issue to us. Many of our customers have been so enthusiastic about our principles, and with all of the excitement surrounding the World Fair Trade Day, we made the decision to extend the offer to all promotional clothing production." Shirtworks also sells hoodies and sweatshirts. Promotional clothing is used by a number of schools, clubs and charities to promote their name or cause.
