T-Shirts in Hot Pink Bring a Smile

If you have not checked out the clothing stores online or in your local area yet, then you might not know that hot pink is the favourite colour for women this Spring season. In fact a lot of bright colours were used in the new design lines and the theory is fashion designers are trying to add a touch of happiness to an otherwise still gloomy shopping environment created by the economic crisis.

The hot pink colour is showing up in all kinds of fashion items from sweaters and t-shirts to necklaces and shoes. Pink is a great colour choice for women who want to do a 360 degree turnaround from the darker blacks, browns, and grays which usually distinguish winter clothing. The ruffle trimmed sundress, the bright pink t-shirt, the sassy pink scarf or the saucy pink footwear can’t help but bring good cheer to the wearer.

The goal of the fashion designers this year was to promote fun and happiness through clothing in direct contrast to the economic gloom which is holding many consumers captive. Many of the Spring designs in women’s clothing were introduced at the Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week show. The designs and colours were bright, bold, and a bit retro. But many women were pleased to note the fashions are also still feminine this year.

Fashion accents and accessories displayed included zippers, Grecian-inspired sandals, matching handbags, and oversized jewelry.

The Spring Fashion show is usually heralded with a lot of fanfare but the industry has been subdued this season and the last couple of seasons because of the economic crisis. But it is still fun for consumers to see the flirty fashions and colourful clothing. Even if the hot pink colour only brings one smile during these tough times, it can be considered a success.
