The world’s largest trade show held in February 2009 and dedicated to fashion is appropriately called “Magic”. This name is ideal for an event that showcases the latest in the fashion world with many countries from around the world represented. This is truly a global affair with brands from countries including the United States, France and Great Britain to name just a few. But the show is about to expand by introducing a new sideshow dedicated to the Hispanic and Latin countries and related brands. The Hispanic and Latin fashion sideshow will showcase fashion brands from many Latin American countries including Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay and Columbia. Also represented will be Mexico, Guatemala and numerous other Spanish speaking countries. The purpose of the sideshow, named "Magia at Magic" is to increase awareness of Hispanic and Latin fashion designers and the garment industry, and to give buyers from other countries an opportunity to make contact with these vendors and exhibitors. The global Hispanic and Latin American market is enormous with 45 million people in the United States alone. The Magic show is held in Las, Vegas and will have over 15,000 retail stores and 100,000 retailers attending. All types of fashion and clothing will be represented include high couture designers to sweatshirts.
The President of Magic International is Chris DeMoulin. He had this to say about the new sideshow. "Our goal is to develop a dynamic marketplace for and about the Hispanic market. This is an important new initiative focused on an under-served consumer segment. We are very excited to introduce Magia and bring an amazing wealth of new resources to our retailer partners." One of the purposes of the show is to share information concerning the unique buying patterns of Hispanic consumers. The retailers attending the show include Macy's, Dillards, Wal-Mart, Sears and Target. In addition there will be a number of manufacturers attending also.
