The fashion world is getting more practical in many ways as fashion designers join forces with moderately priced retail chain stores to offer affordable yet stylish clothing. Thakoon Panichgul is a world renowned fashion designer who has created award winning fashion. He has agreed to partner with Target in order to make stylish and unique fashion affordable for all women and not just those who can pay outrageous prices for exclusive designs. This innovation partnership will lead to the creation of a limited edition fashion collection designed by Panichgul under the GO International program. This program was created to make it possible for international and famed designers to create affordable fashion. Panichgul is going to create a resort collection which will include swimwear and casual clothing. The fashion collection will include tees, tunics, cropped pants, cardigans, A-line dresses, and many other pieces. The pieces will be designed with plenty of graphic prints, florals, and colours to match the relaxing styles. The signature mark on Panichgul clothing pieces is a blue and green diagonal stripe. The Target collection will continue the designer’s unique style and will focus on updating American sportswear by adding fashionable and elegant styling.
Panichgul was born in Thailand but raised in the US mid-west. He earned a degree in business and then worked for J. Crew and Harper’s Bazaar in New York. He attended Parsons School of Design. He has numerous awards and now designs for the fashion house Hogan. His trend setting agreement with Target will enable women everywhere to have access to world class fashion at prices they can afford. It is hoped the success of this program will lead to other designers agreeing to participate in the GO international program.
The Target collection designed by Panichgul will be available in the US on 28/December/2008 and will also be found on the Target.com/go website.
