Have you ever heard of a glittering sweatshirt? That is exactly what Konquest Premium Menswear created when the company added $10,000 worth of crystals and diamonds to one. Sweatshirts are normally fairly plain and don’t cause too much of a stir in the fashion world. This sweatshirt is very different because it glitters the way only precious crystal and gems can shine. The diamond and crystal studded sweatshirt was shown for the first time at the American Music Awards and was worn by pop and rhythm and blues artist Colby O’Donis.

The addition of diamonds to a sweatshirt is really not typical of the style Konquest Clothing uses in its clothing lines. The clothing is considered to be casual and affordable. It’s hard to imagine an affordable hoodie loaded with 4,000 Swarovski crystals. To complete the rich looking style, this particular sweatshirt also has a zipper pull that is a 3 carat diamond.

The sweatshirt was worn by Colby O’Donis at the AMA awards and to some after parties. The purpose of the outlandish sweatshirt styling was to get people’s attention for two reasons. First, Konquest is introducing a new line of clothing. Second, the company is also raising money for a charity fund dedicated to building Uganda schools. Up to 30% of the profit from the bids submitted for the sweatshirt will be donated to the charity.

The sweatshirt will be displayed in a number of stores which carry the masculine styled Konquest clothing. O’Donis was chosen to wear the sweatshirt at the awards ceremony because of his tremendous success and popularity with the younger crowd. The new line of Konquest clothing is labeled as men’s casual wear and O’Donis is an excellent representative of the type of customers Konquest hopes to reach with its marketing campaign. O’Donis modeled the glittering sweatshirt onstage during a joint performance with Lady GaGa.
