Every year school students around the world don uniforms, jeans, t-shirts and sweatshirts as school begins. This year the back-to-school style guides are promoting the layered look and that is exactly what the students are wearing. This look is practical and kid-friendly and still allows individual fashion statements to shine through. With jeans, a hoodie, and a t-shirt, students can be fashionable and comfortable.

One of the best features of this practical clothing is the fact the t-shirts and hoodies are made in a variety of colours and styles. Students can express their individual style and still wear practical and sensible school clothing. When the weather is cooler, additional layers can be added as necessary including long sleeved tees or sweaters.

The type of clothing mentioned by students as being their favourite styles include zipper-front hoodies, brand name tees, printed t-shirts, and athletic shoes. Also mentioned were , striped t-shirts, boot-style athletic shoes, skinny jeans Blank T-Shirts and suspenders. Some students were interviewed in various schools and insisted that brand names are important. Parents appreciate the fact these popular clothing styles can be purchased at budget prices unlike expensive fashion wear which goes out of style in a matter of months. In every case the fashion entrenched t-shirt was mentioned by the students in all grades.

School clothing recommendations include graphic tees including the printed t-shirts; polo shirts with collar worn down or up; striped shirts; sporty trousers; and accessories. In addition, ballerina footwear for girls and athletic footwear for boys is popular.

Some fashion clothing will always be popular and that includes sweatshirts and t-shirts. With steady clothing price increases, the t-shirts and jeans make kitting students something that can be done even in tight budget situations. The layered look using t-shirts and sweats still allows for individuality while keeping fashion within reasonable boundaries.
