What happens when the music stops, you are in trouble with the law and
you have bills to pay? Well, if you are Boy George then you try your
hand selling T-Shirts
at London’s Spitalfields Market. Last Friday, May 16, Boy George was
spotted there trying to sell T-Shirts
from his own B-rude label for 10 pounds each.
Spitalfields Market is a far from high street fashion but it offers hidden fashion gems as you walk along the streets of the marketplace. Fashion stalls are available on Fridays and Sundays and other goods are sold on other days of the week.
If you can’t make it to Spitalfields Market then you can visit B-Rude’s shop on Shoreditch High Street in London or visit the company’s website at: http://www.b-rudeuk.com/start.php. B-Rude was started a few years ago by Boy George. The styles of the company reflect Boy George’s flamboyant personality. The company’s fashions have been featured in numerous fashion shows. Some of the items sold by the company include a variety of T-Shirts that sell for between 40-75 pounds, designer hoodie sweatshirts from 65 pounds, jeans, jewellery, accessories and more.
It has been reported that Boy George has fallen on hard time since the demise of the 1980s hit band The Culture Club. He is allegedly fighting an illegal drug addiction. Yet, after leading The Culture Club to sell over 10 million records he has built his own fashion label.
Still, reports are that he seemed anything but happy when spotted on Spitalfields Market on Friday. He allegedly told a reporter, "It's been all right - quiet today though. I'm bored and cold but we have to do a Friday stall to get a pitch on Sunday." Yet, if you are looking to meet the famous Boy George or to get a B-rude T-shirt at a great price then a trip to Spitalfields Market is a good idea.
