What do you do when you can’t keep up with the public’s demand for T-Shirts?
Shop owners, especially those throughout Scotland, are learning what to
do.
Rangers fans have bought all of the available home tops in anticipation of the UEFA Cup final. Shop owners are unsure if they will be able to get more home tops in before this week’s big game. Once the home tops became difficult to find, many fans turned to T-shirt printing as a way to show their team loyalty. But, now even that is becoming difficult to do as fans have purchased most of the available 0 and 8 transfers to put “Manchester 08” on the back of their custom T-Shirts.
JJB sports, the main supplier of the home tops, has indicated that they have other types of team apparel available for fans. Polo Shirts, scarves and other things are still available. Older styles are also available but fans seem to be particular to the team shirts in this season’s blue home strip.
Some fans are also turning to novelty T-Shirts as an alternative to traditional team shirts. Other fans are choosing to have their own T-Shirts printed and still others are purchasing novelty shirts that are already in the stores. Some of the novelty T-Shirts honour specific members of the Team who helped them get to the Finals and others honour the entire Team.
If you are one of the fans who is still looking for a home top T-shirt, then you are likely to have the best luck buying an unusual size. Junior sizes and sizes above XXXL are still available. People who are looking for shirts that are XS – XXL are the ones who will likely have the hardest time finding an available T-shirt.
In the end, no matter which Rangers shirt they are wearing, fans should enjoy the game!
