Banana Republic Opens Today in London

Now those in the UK who were forced to buy Banana Republic clothing online are able to walk into a retail store. Telegraph reports the American chain is opening their first store in London today. This is also the first store available in Europe.

Banana Republic sells quality made chinos, polo shirts and other fashionable wear. They have clothing for men, women, and a special section for petite women and tall sizes. Additionally, they sell jewellery, accessories such as shoes and handbags, fragrances and gifts. Parent company Gap Inc. would like to see how the clothing sells in the UK before expanding with additional stores in and outside the country. The Gap has seen declines in sales in the past three years but is starting to see improvement. The hope is Banana Republic will cater to the style of people in London and increase sales for the entire company.
