The AFP Google reports, designers Cassandra Postema and Dong Shing Chiu from Hong Kong have been making difference in some of the poorest areas in Hong Kong. These two designers want to provide eco-fashion and help people who are in need of money and skills. The team has been making clothing with the help of teenage orphans, refugees, and people in drug rehabilitation centers. These people have limited skills and are not working for enough money to support their families. They take these individuals and train them to make Asian fashion and then pay them a fair rate to make them. Postema and Chiu market the clothing as being made by people who are paid for their work and working in ethical conditions.
Postema and Chiu started their clothing business in 2007 and gave it the name, Dialog. They started out together in 2004 after the Tsunami that caused devastation in Asia. They created t-shirts to help raise money for children.
Now they are taking their good hearts and doing greater things. Not only are they giving the poor skills and money but also they are improving their self-esteem making them happier and productive. These people have something to work for and look forward to now, something they did not have before. This has given them hope for the future.
