Scoop.co.nz reports that Jamie Lawrence, 24 is wearing the same t-shirt (different ones but same design) for 126 days to help with his studies as an aspiring filmmaker. Lawrence wants to attend one of the best film schools (New York Film Academy) and needs sponsors to help him pay for his way through school. He hopes to study screenwriting and acting for film. He decided that he would wear the same t-shirts with the names of his sponsors on his back along with the words, "They've got my back!" He views this mission as a way to provide these sponsors a chance to advertise and for him to get the money he needs to pay for his studies. He is essentially a walking billboard. Another way that Lawrence is making a difference is by providing these same t-shirts to the public. People can purchase these shirts with the same sponsors on them.
Even though Lawrence has received quite a response thus far, he is still searching for more people to back him up. Some of the sponsors who have already contributed are Contact Energy, The Museum Hotel and Orbit Corporate Travel Wellington, Park Road Post Production, Huffer, Swinson Wallcoverings and Pandoro Bakery.
