Getting children involved in campaigns for charities is a great way to teach them how they can make a difference in the world. Children are our future and having them participating in charitable events early will set the precedence for becoming responsible and caring adults. All Saints Church in Wales believes this and engages their students in events for charities. As reported by icwales.co.uk, the students recently designed t-shirts for the Be Loud Campaign for Bowel Cancer. Bowel Cancer is the leading deadly disease in the UK. It is important that the message be out about the disease because early detection is crucial in the rate of survival. This disease kills about half of the 35,000 people who become suffer from it every year.
The students modelled their t-shirts for the public and educated attendants about symptoms, causes and treatment for the disease. The designed shirts are bright and bold so that they attract the attention of the public. This is important because many do not want to talk about the disease and deny it. These shirts help the public become aware of the disease so they can learn and identify the symptoms in themselves or loved ones. These students are learning that they have the ability to spread the word about Bowel Cancer and save lives. The campaign is just one of many organised events by the school.
