Thisisderbyshire.co.uk reports that a new eco-friendly t-shirt will debut in 2008 and will be hitting the runways of Milan, Paris and New York. These shirts are being called Luxury Redefined T-shirts and are as environmentally friendly as you can get. Everything from the moment the seeds hit the ground to grow the cotton is natural and environmentally safe. John Smedley based in Matlock has been asked to manufacture these t-shirts. Matlock has been in business of manufacturing t-shirts since 1784. They have been a leading merchandise contributor ever since they have started. When creating the Luxury Redefine T-shirt the company is taking every step in making sure these shirts have not been made or sent by harmful environmental elements.
The cotton is being grown in places where rainfall is plentiful. Other places use irrigation that dries up already low water supplies. These growers do not tap into any community water to grow the cotton for these shirts.
The shirts will be white and unbleached. The company decided to make these shirts white because dye used on other printed shirts is harmful to the environment and instead of using better dyes they have opted to use none at all.
To decrease carbon emissions form aircrafts transporting the shirts, the company has decided to ship these t-shirts to its destinations. As you can see, this company has not left any stone unturned in their efforts in providing a completely natural and environmentally supporting shirt.
The Luxury Redefined T-shirt is going to be made available to the public in April. They will be selling in retail shops in the UK. These shirts are designed by Better Thinking based in London. To purchase a men’s shirt the price will be £120 and for women, £115.
