Reported on yourlocalnewspaperinfo.com, Rick Wills writes an article about Bob Sauter who is 65 and has recently rowed a million metres on a rowing machine. Sauter believes that even though he is retired he still needs to exercise and is probably the most important time to do so. He receives encouragement from his wife and his daughter and was able to complete the million metres in one year. Rowing is hard work and great exercise; it uses many of the muscles of the body. This machine works you out more than what others can do. As you get older it is important to exercise your body because it will help keep you fit and feeling good. Sauter feels great about himself and even though he was only given a bottle of wine and a Concept 2 Million Metre t-shirts, he has accomplished so much more. He has been able to achieve a goal that he set out to do and is proud of his accomplishment.
Sauter hopes that his achievement and record of rowing exactly 1,000,379 will help others his age and older to get out and exercise. He wants people to know that they are not past their time to exercise. You don’t have to row like he has but doing just a little will help your body. He hopes to make a difference in other people’s lives as well as his own.
