edun LIVE Creates Facebook Page

Thursday 08th of November 2007 11:27:26 PM

edun LIVE Creates Facebook PageEco-friendly clothing brand edun recently created their own page on the popular social network site Facebook as a way to generate more exposure for their cause. "We are very excited to be part of Facebook. Edun's philosophy and mission of creating sustainable employment in the developing world, especially in Africa, fits perfectly with Facebook's model of enabling efficient communication among people worldwide. Consumers want to do their part to do something good. Friends want to listen and help other friends. We are looking forward to connecting with Facebook users and their networks of friends to become fans of edun and help spread the stories of the people who make our clothes," said Christian Kemp-Griffin, CEO of edun.

The page on Facebook will allow visitors to learn more about the brand, and allow them to customise their own T-Shirts and accessories. The company is hoping to create viral buzz that will attract even more people to the page. Because Facebook is used by many people all over the world, this should not be too difficult to achieve.

Edun, which sells mostly Blank T-Shirts to clothing companies and others that use them for various printing purposes, uses only eco-friendly materials and helps employee workers in various countries throughout Africa. All the money earned goes back to the communities. The brand was created in 2005 by Ali Hewson and her husband Bono, who is the lead singer of the band U2.
