New Direct-To-Textile Printers Introduced

Wednesday 03rd of October 2007 11:41:13 PM

New Direct-To-Textile Printers IntroducedFor those who want to print shorter runs of T-Shirts and other items, the process of printing, blotting, and drying usually takes too long to justify printing only a small number at a time. But with the new Velotex Direct-To-Textile and Sublimation printers, these runs are now possible. Because the water-based ink dries on contact to the fabric, using a heat press is no longer necessary. Neither is using transfer paper. This technology will potentially save those who print T-Shirts and other items a lot in manufacturing costs over time.

"Dye sublimation equipment and consumables are an important part of our business. Production speed, trouble free manufacturing processes and innovative applications are the key to competing in today's textile industry. I instructed our distribution division to search for cost effective and innovative products that reduce waste, improve productivity and give customers a competitive edge against foreign competition for the largest growing segments of the industry, which are textiles, tradeshow, flags and banner markets. The Velotex™ direct to textile system has exceeded my expectations," said Michael Choo, CEO of PrintVillage, Inc.

While there are many uses for this technology, those who use it will be able to work on other projects as the printer completes the job. The printers also use water-based ink, which is safe the those who touch the ink and the environment as well.
