New T-shirt Site Promotes Artists

Monday 01st of October 2007 04:27:23 AM

New T-shirt Site Promotes ArtistsBeing able to distinguish an online t-shirt company from all the others is not an easy goal to accomplish. But SpotMyTee.com is trying to generate interest in their new site that allows graphic designers, tattoo artists, and others to earn a profit from each sale they make, which is unlike other sites that sell unique designs that pay a one-time fee regardless of how many shirts are sold. "We want to create an environment where our artists are continually motivated to expand their bodies of work and have a network of fashion industry professionals to distribute them through," said Howie Panes VP of Marketing. SpotMyTee.com.

Another way the site it trying to set itself apart from the rest is in their printing process. Instead of using standard transfers on the T-Shirts, SpotMyTee.com will use a 4 colour printing process that will preserve the colours of the designs so they are more vibrant. All T-Shirts will be printed in one facility using this process. Colours should last longer when washed than other shirts.

T-Shirts will be available in men's, women's, and children's sizes. The site, which will officially launch in November, will also hold contests, ask for submissions from students, and is accepting online submissions. By offering a percentage of its sales to the artists who allow the company to use its designs, they are trying to create a community where artists can be accepted and compensated for all of their hard work.
