Much like the Lochness Monster, no one knows for sure if the 'Loveland Pond Monster' actually exists. Sighted a few times in Jayhawker Pond, located in Colorado, USA, the monster has been described as an alligator or other type of reptile. For local resident, Steve Carlson, it doesn't matter what the monster is as long as it sticks around until he sells all of his printed T-Shirts."They are saying it is an alligator or a caiman but I have a feeling it is a little more dinosaur than gator. It's not likely to happen again unless the beast decided to stick around, which I'm hoping it does. Even if they catch an alligator or a caiman in there, there is going to be a certain nostalgia and collectability with these shirts," said Carlson.
Carlson is a graphic designer who came up with the idea after hearing more about the monster. He figured the 'monster' would become a local legend and has printed one-hundred T-Shirts to sell to those who want a piece of history. "I don't want them to catch it tomorrow and have a garage full of them. If I sell them out, I will make more," said Carlson. He plans on selling his shirts at local events and tourists.
