Technologically Advanced T-shirts

Monday 25th of June 2007 03:37:03 AM

Technologically Advanced T-shirtsFor athletes, those who have medical conditions, and those who don't want to overdo it while exercising, monitoring their heart rate so they will know when to rest and when to remain active has never been an exact science. Most people either take a measure of their pulse or quit when their bodies have had enough. But Sensatex is developing a new line of T-Shirts that monitor heart rates to give the wearer a more exact measurement. The shirts also monitor respiration and movement.

"We will be marketing the shirt directly, as well as looking to use joint ventures and licensing agreements. It's hard to say exactly when the shirt will be available, which is also dependent upon the results of the beta tests. As far as decorating properties go, the current version displays the Sensatex logo, so depending on the application, there should be decorating opportunities," said Kristin Gomex, and account executive for Sensatex.

Senatex is in the developing stages of the T-Shirts for now, but once they are completed and on the market, they should be very popular with a variety of different people. "We are very excited about beginning the field tests. Today, wearable technology is a science and not science fiction," said Robert Kalik, CEO of Sensatex.
