Olsen Twins to Launch New Clothing Line

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who are best known for their role on the US sitcom 'Full House', have been in the clothing design and merchandising business for a number of years. The twins, who are still under twenty-one, will be releasing a new line of clothing called 'Elizabeth and James' after their younger siblings and will feature T-Shirts, blazers, dresses, and other clothing. The twins have two other fashion lines and have been designing clothing since they were teenagers.

"We wanted it to be based on a relationship between a girl and a boy and tell the story through clothing," said May-Kate Olsen. The clothing line will be sold in limited release and was created in partnership with L'Koral Industries.

"It's a clash between masculinity and femininity. [It's for the] sophisticated woman with a playful side and is still chic. It's someone who understands fashion and understands details and expects that as well," said Ashley Olsen.

This new clothing line will be a departure from their previous clothing lines that catered to teenagers and tweens. The twins have made a lot in terms of profit over the years selling movies, clothing, and other promotional items. They have been featured on the Forbes.com 'Young Hollywood's Top-Earning Stars List' and are considered the wealthiest people under twenty-one in show business.
