Finnish Band Raises Money for British Red Cross

Friday 27th of April 2007 01:16:55 AM

Finnish Band Raises Money for British Red CrossCelebrities raising money for charity is a good way to generate interest and funds that will go to help those in need. ‘Whatever It Takes’ is a charitable artwork campaign that allows artists to choose where the proceeds will go from the sale of T-Shirts and other items they helped create. Working with The Hemp Trading Company (THTC), the campaign not only helps those in need, but also helps the environment.

Finnish rockers HIM have designed the latest T-Shirts for the campaign that will help raise money for the British Red Cross. The shirts will feature lead singer Ville Vallo’s signature. While every celebrity will design something that is slightly different, the idea behind them is the same. Helping others who are in need or helping organisations such of the British Red Cross that help others is a great way to give back and get others involved in the project.

All T-Shirts that are printed will be supplied by The Help Trading Company. These shirts are made of 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton. Using this blend instead of processed cotton will also save 200 hundred pounds of water per shirt, which is a huge savings.

The ‘Whatever it Takes’ campaign urges artists and celebrities to create a symbol or reflective piece that can be used on clothing to promote awareness of different causes. Monies raised will go directly to the charity the artist chooses. Helping the British Red Cross is a way to help many other people who will be in need of the Red Cross’s services in the future.
