RAF Launches New Fashion Line

To raise money for The Royal Air force Museum, the RAF has decided to launch its own men’s and women’s clothing lines. Featuring Polo Shirts, pants, jackets, and other items, they are hoping to raise awareness about the RAF as well. Planned for the clothing lines are forty pieces of men’s clothing and ten pieces of women’s clothing. The clothes will be trendy, yet classic and will include a variety of colours. For those who want to wear casual clothing that is well-made, this is one line to look for.

Polo Shirts and other clothing will have the RAF roundel featured on them. Other RAF insignia will be featured as well. “Our goal is to raise awareness of the Royal Air Force as it is important that the public understands what we do on their behalf,” said Group Captain Andy Turner. Placing insignia’s is a way that people can see who manufactured the clothing.

The clothing is getting some celebrity attention from Rugby stars Rory and Tony Underwood, who are also RAF pilots and Wing Commander Andy Green, otherwise known as the fastest man on land who will be heading the marketing campaign. The clothing is meant to be comfortable and well-fitting.

Recognizing and helping to preserve the history of the RAF is the goal of raising money from the sales of clothing. By offering Polo Shirts and other items in a variety of styles and colours, people will be able to choose exactly what they want. Adding the RAF insignia is a way to authenticate the clothing and a way to market the brand. RAF clothing is available online or through mail-order catalogues.
