Even though George Eddy is only 18, he has managed to save up enough money working odd jobs and waiting tables to form his new company, Gedy Clothing, which sells Polo Shirts. But these shirts are not everyday Polo Shirts. They have special collars that will stay up when turned, which allow the wearer to participate in a trend without feeling like a fool. Eddy researched the materials for his shirts before manufacturing them so his polo shirts were not only trendy, but also classic.Eddy will manufacture his shirts, which are available in traditional polo shirt colours including red, blue, and yellow, in Thailand, where he visited twice while performing with The King’s Barbers, an all male choir, that raised money to send female students of Thailand to school so they can get an education in order to support themselves and their families. As a result, Eddy will also be donating some of the profits from his business to similar charities. “Ten per cent of profits will go to the charity in Thailand. The King's Barbers tours have supported over 250 girls. I'm working hard to make my business a success. If I can achieve that and also help make the world a better place, that would be great,” said Eddy.
So far, there has been a lot of interest in the polo shirts. In addition to being sold online, the shirts will also be sold in select shops in the UK. Since the shirts are made from 100% cotton, they should be in demand for a long time. Eddy, who has always has an interest in business since he was a child, being able to start his own business is a dream come true. Giving classic Polo Shirts an update is a clever idea that should pay off in a big way.
