Sportswear Apparel Business Offers Plenty

At Susquehanna Valley Sportswear, located in Hughesville, Pennsylvania, USA, Kyle Daugherty, along wit his father Jerry; can add logos, embroidery, names, numbers, and many other designs to T-Shirts, Polo Shirts, and other clothing and promotional items. The two started the sportswear company last year and are starting to take in more business as their name becomes recognized. “We really want to market to teams. We can even do fundraisers for them,” said Kyle Daugherty of his plans for the future, “My fundraisers are really hassle-free for coaches.”

But local team sports are not the only market Dougherty plans to make his mark on. “Businesses is another market we are trying to hit. We are wide open. Anybody and everybody wants T-Shirts and Polo Shirts with embroidery on them,” said Dougherty. Being able to offer their services to different types of customers will help their business grow in the future.

People who visit Dougherty are able to place orders for printed t-shirts and other apparel, or they can bring items from home that they want to have embroidered or printed on. Dougherty has a full service embroidery machine that he uses to fill his orders. “Pretty much anything you can put a logo on, screen print, heat press or embroider, we can do. We really serve a wide array of people. It really depends on how much people want done, but I don’t have any minimums,” said Dougherty.

It usually takes Dougherty and his father a few days to fill an order depending on the size of the order. Having the equipment in-house makes the process much easier. While they are a small shop for now, they will continue to grow as long as people keep placing orders and enjoying the finished product.
