Embroidery store owners Lannie Stecher and Gloria Fish have owned their shop, Impressive Images, for many years now and refuse to stitch anything that is vulgar or offensive to others. “No vulgarity, curse words or anything he deems inappropriate will appear on something his machines make,” Lannie said, in reference to God. Lannie, who is also a pastor, says he has plenty of designs to offer and the technology to get the job done quickly. With over 20,000 different designs and the option to create clean designs using machinery that is specially made for this process, and an embroidery machine that can work on up to four articles at one time, the shop is very popular with local businesses, clubs, and churches that need Polo Shirts, Sweatshirts, or T-Shirts .
Lannie, who has been in the embroidery business for twenty years and Fish, who has been stitching for the past sixteen years bring many years of experience to their store and the articles of clothing they produce. When asked about vulgar designs, Lannie said, “It would be hard to be in Wal-Mart and see someone from the congregation wearing a shirt with something vulgar on it.”
When he isn’t stitching, Lannie can be found at the Destined to Win Christian Centre, where he is a pastor. “There’s not much money in the job, but I like what I do. It’s like pastoring. I don’t get paid much, but I love it,” said Lannie.
For those who are looking for a personalised touch should try to find embroidery shops that will be able customize any design. Many times, shops will give discounts to sports teams and other large groups.
